Verisense Health Hires Director of Finance and Administration and Principal Data Scientist
CAMBRIDGE, MA – June 20, 2023 – Verisense® Health, Inc. is excited to announce its appointment of Becky King as Director, Finance and Administration, and Lucas Selig as Principal Data Scientist. Becky will be responsible for managing the company’s global business operations, while Lucas will focus on data analysis, algorithm design, and liaising with the company’s Malaysian development team.
Founded in January 2023, Verisense Health is a spin-off from global wearable technology provider Shimmer Research. Verisense Health has established the Verisense Digital Health Panel (DHP) to enable sponsors to collect combined digital health and patient reported outcomes data at a fraction of the cost and effort of traditional methods. The data collected by the DHP is being aggregated to create a digital biobank of de-identified, longitudinal, raw digital health data. Information from this reusable resource can be combined with other real-world data, including tokenized medical records, claims data, and pharmacy records, to produce cost-efficient, high quality, outcomes data to advance clinical research.

His expertise will prove invaluable as we continue to expand our DHP’s capabilities.”
Prior to Innerscope Research, Becky served as Controller of Calypso Management, and International Financial Analyst for The Pioneer Group, managing the financial and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting of global assets in multiple markets. She received a BA in Business from Indiana University.
Lucas joins Verisense Health from Happy Health where he served as a Data Scientist developing algorithms for the company’s finger-worn wearable device. Lucas is adept at using large datasets collected from on-body sensors to design algorithms and uncover trends to improve business outcomes.
Prior to that, Lucas was a Data Analyst at the Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) focusing on geoparsing and geocoding information. He received a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
